(access denial experiment)
2008
Installation in public space
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the infamous "Stop Töhryille"(Clean City)-campaign of the City of Helsinki that aims to remove any kind of visual or textual intervention in a public space by a private person, this work illustrates the campaigns perverse logic by denying safe pedestrian access for the sake of keeping an electric box clean.
The work was a part of Urban Pedestals Helsinki

Access Denial Experiment
July 2008
11.7.-13.7.
This denied access is an experiment of The Public Works Department of The City of Helsinki in cutting down the cleaning and guarding costs to the taxpayer caused by "Stop Töhryille" campaign.
